Senior Reimbursement Consultant
Sue O’Connell joined MedCom’s reimbursement team in 2021, after previously having been employed with MedCom from 2002 through 2010. In her prior employment with MedCom, Sue served as the Director of Client Finance, working on chargemaster management and pricing engagements for hospitals and physician groups nationwide. After a little over a decade away working as the Director of Revenue Cycle at a local hospital, Sue returned to a consulting role with MedCom. In addition to continuing her knowledge in chargemaster management and pricing, Sue brings new experience and interest in billing, accounts receivable, patient accounting management, and third-party payor contract analysis and renegotiation.
Sue holds bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Finance from the University of Pittsburgh and is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional through HFMA. She is a member of the Rochester Regional chapter of HFMA.
